Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Singapore

So here, comes next after my "Flying with Jetstar" entry is my personal review of Mandarin Oriental Singapore. By the way, there are a lot of photos ahead! So don't say that I didn't warn you in advance ya? :)

Personally, from the friendly warm hotel staff to its impeccable service to well thought guest room, it is truly a pleasant and delightful stay in Mandarin Oriental Singapore. Everything was just amazing from the moment we stepped into the hotel till the last moment we waved goodbye to their staff and off to the airport. Knowing me who is very picky and particular on friendliness and service, this hotel has scored five stars on both fronts. ;)

Their concierge, bell hops, front desk staff, house keeper and practically everyone working in the hotel is incredibly friendly and welcoming and willing to make our stay as the best one ever. Top notch service and I am very impressed by the entire team at this hotel. :) We always got someone to usher us to the room (so don't worry if you came back with handful of shopping bags) and upon arrival, luggages were brought promptly to the room too. Owh, in case you are taking public transportation, hotel concierge will arrange a cab for you at all time and will be very helpful to direct you the nearest MRT or bus station, so just let them know your needs.

Great thing here as hotel is conveniently located very next to Marina Square and short walking distance to Esplanade Mall, Suntec City Mall, Singapore Flyer and Marina Bay Sands. Perfect location and ideally situated yo!

Hotel lobby was not that big tho and a little bit of dated and dark too, but worry not, the guest room (Premier Harbour) was awesome! Extra bonus with spectacular view of Marina Bay area and Singapore's financial district. Nicely sized room (even after we rolled in the babycot) with small office area and well equipped with plasma TV (over 30 channels available), DVD player and internet connection. Other room facilities and amenities are excellent as expected. Basically, we got everything that we requested at no fuss and no charge :)

You know what? They have most fluffy pillows and heavenly bed that I ever slept on. I feel like sleeping on clouds like that. Owh owh owh! How wish that I have all the money in the world so that I can buy that type of bed and pillows and linens that I bet must be sold at freaking hefty price tag. -___- Reality hits, I can only afford tilam cap Ziana Zain for now. Hekhekhek.

Their large marbled bathroom was superb with separate tub and shower and have large sink vanity. With good quality and comfy towels and bath robe, this is what I discern between good and great hotels. Not to mention that you can get this sexy view straight out of the bathroom through its glass window. >:} Hehehehe. Of course there are blinds on the glass panel lah. :P Owh ya, love their lemon grass and ginger fragrant toiletries too, very spa-ly smell. Room was cleaned every day with new towels and other room amenities too.

Breakfast spread is excellent but I have nothing much to comment as we didn't really eat everything there. But the Belgian waffle is seriously out of this world and fresh fruit juices are made right in front you (just name the type of fruits you want it to be because basically everything is there).

And the best part of all, the one which won the most stars is the pool area. Absolutely fantastic with comfy pool cabanas, ample sun loungers and breath taking view over the city as well. Seriously to die for and I don't mind going back again just to spend a quiet peaceful time in pool cabana. Good books, Ice Vanilla Latte, glasses, iPad and cushioned private cabana, ahhhh, what a pure bliss! But of course someone has to look after the kids lah kan. Pools are spacious and sufficiently big to accommodate all the guests. Kids pool is great too with with multiple of jet water to keep my kids amused and truly enjoyed conquering the pool to themselves. Towels are provided and iced water is continually brought to us and surely a great service from pool staff.

Room rates? It might be a tad pricey but reasonable enough by its international standards and basically, we got what we paid for lah :P Hehehe..All in all, we had an awesome stay and went back home with memories that worth a lifetime. Of course Master Adam Haris is the one who keep asking for, "Mama, Adam nak tido otel-In-Tal (Mandarin Oriental), besh! besh!"
