Homemade Carbonara :)

Morning mommies and daddies!

Here is another great yet easy peasy recipe for kids. Just in case if you are running out of ideas on what to cook for your little ones or maybe you need a quick fix meal for dinner, nahh, try this recipe out. Quick and easy because it takes a very minimal preparation and clean up time. And trust me, nothing makes you happier than seeing the kids enjoying a bowlful of it :)

Ingredients:
Olive Oil
Garlic (chopped)
Whipping Cream
Butter
Beef Bacon (optional)
Sausage (diced)
Capsicum (diced)
Black Pepper Coarse
Parmesan Cheese Grated
Spaghetti (I used Angel Hair, as its thinner and finer)

Steps:
[1] Bring water to boil, put in pasta, sprinkle salt and pour in some oil. Cook the pasta until al dente (to desire texture). Once cooked, drain it well.
[2] In medium sauce pan, cook the beef bacon (no need butter/oil, it will be greasy on its own). Once cook, set aside.
[3] Using the same medium sauce pan, add 1 tbsp butter (medium heat) and garlic. Stir well.
[4] Add sausage and capsicum and stir occasionally.
[5] Turn sauteed ingredients to low heat and slowly pour in whipping cream.
[6] Season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir well.
[7] Add 1 tsp of grated Parmesan cheese and cook for a little while.

To serve: Pour Carbonara sauce on pasta until well coated.
P/S: Worth trying. Thick carbonara sauce macam dekat Italian restaurant :P Recipe I dapat from chef dapur Meat Works. Hehehe...Sebab guna whipping cream, kalau guna UHT milk, runny a bit la sauce tu.
